DO RE MI GEOMETRY CD
Solid Shapes
Oh what are your names, solid shapes, solid shapes?
Oh, what are the names of the solids?
Sphere and cube are not alone:
Prism, pyramid, and cone,
Cylinder and rectangular solid.
A cone has a point and a circle for a base.
A pyramid has a point and a square for a base.
A sphere has no faces and looks like a ball.
Solid shapes are long and wide and tall. Uh, huh!
Oh what are your names, solid shapes, solid shapes?
Oh, what are the names of the solids?
Sphere and cube are not alone:
Prism, pyramid, and cone,
Cylinder and rectangular solid.
A cylinder has two circular faces,
And a curved, curved surface lets it roll around places.
A cube looks the same no matter what angle.
It has six square faces, no rectangles. Uh, huh!
Oh what are your names, solid shapes, solid shapes?
Oh, what are the names of the solids?
Sphere and cube are not alone:
Prism, pyramid, and cone,
Cylinder and rectangular solid.
A prism it has two parallel faces,
They may be polygons or triangles.
A rectangular solid – it has six faces.
You can spot it because of its rectangles. Solids!
